Raj
Malkani, M.D.

Dr. Malkani
received her M.D. degree from Grant
Medical College
in India. After being trained in pediatrics and
adolescent medicine, she completed
her residency in Pediatrics at New
York University
and Saint Peter's
Medical Center, rising to chief resident. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics,
specializing in Adolescent Medicine, and has been with Rutgers since
1981. Dr. Malkani is an
Elected Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and has been a
Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics of UMDNJ & Robert Wood
Johnson Hospital
since 2004.
Highly
qualified to provide students with outstanding medical care, Dr. Malkani
is an international public health advocate, volunteering her services to
rural communities in India
and the United States. She is passionate
about teaching residents, medical and pharmacology students about
medicine.
She enjoys
working with the diverse and vibrant Rutgers
student body, and
the analytical and surgical aspects of College Medicine, Hematology, and
Women's Health.

Margaret
Fleck, DNP, APN-C
Staff Nurse Practitioner

Peggy
received her Bachelors of Nursing at the University of Delaware, and her
Masters and Doctoral degrees at UMDNJ.
She is certified as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner, and comes
to Rutgers after working in Critical Care and private practice. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the
honor society for nursing, and is currently serving as a board member of
the Academy of Doctors of Nursing Practice.
Peggy is among the first group of DNPs in the USA to earn the title
of Diplomat in Comprehensive Care, awarded by the American Board of
Comprehensive Care. She has also been
the recipient of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Nursing.
Peggy
loves to see a wide variety of student health issues, provide education on
wellness as well as illness, and answer student’s questions. She says, “The students are great to work
with! They are exciting,
inquisitive, and have such varied backgrounds and interests that it makes
every day for me a fun learning experience!”

lives in Sussex County with her husband and two adult children. |

Diane
Heimlich, MSN, RNC
Staff Nurse Practitioner

Diane
Heimlich began her nursing career after completing a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in American Studies from the University of Michigan (Residential
College). She received her undergraduate nursing degree from Columbia
University, where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society
of Nursing. Her Masters of Nursing Degree, with a specialty in adult
primary care, was awarded from the University of Pennsylvania. She is
nationally certified as an adult nurse practitioner through the American
Nurses Credentialling Center and is a member of the American Academy of
Nurse Practitioners. Diane has been a nurse practitioner since 1984,
expanding upon her career as a registered nurse. Her early experiences
involved caring for an indigent adult population in the Bronx and in St.
Louis, MO. She has worked for the Rutgers University Health Service since
1989.

Tara
Gunthner, RN, BS

Tara
received her nursing diploma from St Peter's School of Nursing in New
Brunswick. She then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree from
Cook College in 1990. Her 28 year nursing career includes occupational
nursing where she received the Prudential HR Aces award. In
addition, Tara has worked in public health and college
health nursing; most recently with Princeton University. A resident of East
Brunswick, Tara enjoys traveling with her teenage son.
