I am on the Ortho Evra patch. If I get pregnant, what are the chances of my birth control affecting the baby if I'm still on the patch? If I change my patch a day or two late, what are the chances of getting pregnant if I have unprotected sex during normal ovulation?

Since I don't want to go through my mother's insurance, I was wondering if I could go to a Rutgers clinic and be able to receive a check-up by a gynecologist and a prescription for birth control. If possible, how much will it cost? I am a full-time student but I don't have additional insurance.

I had an IUD fitted a year and a half ago and have not had a regular period since. Sometimes I have one every thirty-two days, but most of it time I menstruate every two months. Between menstruations I am spotting continuously. I have been to a doctor but was told that this was due to an erosion in my womb (I spotted during my last Pap smear). I was on the Pill until I had the IUD fitted and could not lose weight due to pregnancy. I am still bloated and having problems losing weight. I also suffer from severe PMS. Any advice?

I am on the Depo shot and I've been sexually active (without using a condom) with my boyfriend for three years. Could I get pregnant on the shot?

How long can I be off birth control before concerns arise about getting pregnant? I am twenty-six years old with normal periods.

I am an eighteen-year-old virgin and my boyfriend and I are thinking about having sex for the first time. I am planning on going on the Depo shot but have heard some horrible rumors about it. Could you tell me what your opinion is on it and what kind of exams I will undergo before taking the shot? I still haven't been in for a Pap yet and would like to know what I am in for.

My Depo shot was due February 21st and I got my shot on February 19th. I've been told that Depo is effective within 24 hours but I've never trusted that statistic. About thirty-six hours after my shot my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. Was the Depo "in effect" at that time? When I am given the due date for my next shot, will the previous shot lose its effectiveness thay day?

How long does it take for the effect of the Depo shot to wear off, especially the weight gain? Is it normal to have withdrawal bleeding the first month off Depo and back on the Pill? What is the safe storage temperature for the Pill? Can it be too cold in the fridge?
