I'm nervous because i had a pimple like bump on the lips of my vagina is it herpes. Is there anyway to get pimples down there or is it just a std. I'm also currently dating someone i'm scared if i do have something that i might lose him. I'm also scared of not having children or someone who would risk their health with me.

I was recently diagnosed with Bacterial vaginosis, how did i get it? how do i get rid of it? Did i get it from my partner?

I know that scientists are working on vaccines for HPV. My boyfriend has genital warts and I would really like to stay with him. When do you think these vaccines will be released? How effective do you think they will be? Is there anything we can do sexually that is safe?

I am only 15 years old. I have never had sex before. I would like to stress that because it seems odd that I would have this bump. It is a raised bump near the base of the shaft of my penis. It is a yellowish color in the center and is inflamed or reddened around the outside. It has only been around for about two days now but is growing increasingly sore. I have never had any other bumps like these before. Do you have any idea what this bump could possibly be?

I was unaware that I could pass a yeast infection to a male until after I engaged in sex with my boyfriend, however, we always use a condom. Although he isn't suffering any symptoms I was wondering if I could have passed the yeast infection on to him with the condom, and if so, what steps should he take to treat the infection?

can you get any kind of disease if your boyfriend fingers you? And what protection can you use when giving oral sex to a guy?

I was told 3-4 years ago that I had Condyloma. I had the warts burned off and have not had a reoccurrece since. I have a sexual partner that is worried about what can happen to him. I realize that HPV is a common STD for women but I haven't really found good information about how Condyloma can effect men. We do not currently use condoms and prefer not to,if we believe that he dosen't already have HPV should we always use a condom?

I recently went in for my first pap smear at the age of 21 and was told that I have a yeast infection and treated and just found out that my results of the pap smear came back as abnormal. They said they tested it and it came back that I have HPV. The only thing is that I've never had sex before...They told me that this was the only way it's transmitted. How could this be?

Can yeast infection be spread through oral sex ?

I was diagnosed with warts about a month ago inside my penis, and I had them frozen off. Then yesterday, I very stupidly had sex with someone even though it probably has not been long enough to wait. I used a condom, but she performed unprotected oral sex on me. Did I give her warts, and what should I tell her?

Is it possible to get an STD during oral sex if both partners have never been sexually active before?

Can I have sex with a yeast infection?

Is it okay for a woman to have sex if she has a urinary tract infection? Will she infect her partner with it?

Can you get genital warts with out having HPV?

Is oral sex, with clean genitalia, a bad idea? Does this spread some sickness such as vaginal infection or diarrhea?

I recently lost my virginity 4 days ago. I have been having some back and abdominal pains and I was just wondering if that is normal.

How long does it take for HPV to show up on your skin? Because it took over a year for it to show up on me.

After sex with my boyfriend, there is a slight stinging on the inside and outside of my vagina, why is this? We have been active for a little while so I do not think it is the soreness of underuse.

Is it safe to have oral sex or "heavy petting" after being diagnosed with HPV? What if the wart is not present? Is it safe then?

I just discovered some bumps that look like warts located in the area between my vagina and my thigh and continuing on my thigh. Could these be genital warts? I haven't seen a doctor yet.

Rutgers research has indicated that the HPV virus may leave the body. Is this for all strains of HPV? If so, why does every other bit of literature indicate that HPV never leaves the body? Thank you.

I have small white blisters around the head of my penis. I have had these for about 6 years. I am sure that I had them before I had sex. Now they are starting to hurt. Can this be something besides an std?

I'm a Gay 20-year-old and I have a partner of 21, we have been seeing each other for 2 years now.  I was thinking of having a test, like a sexual test, not for AIDS at the mo, but other stuff, could you put my mind at rest and explain what they do on the tests, I get scared easily at doctors!

This girl and I are having oral sex without any protection and I am wondering if there is any chance of getting an STD. Neither her nor me have ever had sex and I am wondering if I am at any risk? What should I do next?

I have recently been diagnosed with HPV. I have been with the same man for over a year now. Would the assumption that he most likely has it true? I have had a colposcopy done and no warts were found by the naked eye or by the scope. Should he wear a condom when we have sex?

My current boyfriend experiences severe burning during orgasm. While I realize it's normal for a male to experience discomfort and slight pain post-orgasm, my boyfriend all but yelps in pain. Is *severe* burning during an orgasm a possible sign of an STD?

I was reading your information about HPV, and I saw that it "goes away" after an average of about 8 months. I was told by a doctor  in Minnesota that HPV never goes away, and  that it's something to always watch out for. Is this true?

I was recently diagnosed with HPV after an abnormal Pap Smear. I understand that this is a sexually transmitted disease, but I have never had sex. Is it possible that I've infected myself from a wart on my hand, or maybe from a public place like a bathroom?

Where can a man get tested for the same kinds of STDs that women get tested for, how much does it cost, how reliable are the tests and how much time should partners allow for testing before they know they are safe?

If you had sex with someone...and you were wearing a condom but you fear that she may rubbed up against some exposed skin at the base of your penis and her vagina is shaved but still a little prickly could the HIV possibly get into your bloodstream if some of her lubrication juices got on that spot?

I was wondering if there was any way for me and my girlfriend to be tested for any sexually transmitted diseases. We have both been sexually active in the past, but we feel like we should be tested for ourselves and for one another.

Me and my girlfriend had sex without a condom - and afterwards (directly after) she said she experienced a burning sensation. I don't think it is an STD because we are both safe. What is it? Is this normal? What causes it? And how to we get rid of it? Or do I just have atomic sperm?

If a woman gives oral sex to a man (sucks his penis), is it then safe for her to proceed to intercourse, allowing his penis to enter her vagina, or will her mouth fluids on his penis cause a vaginal infection when he then enters her?

My sister and I live together and she has genital herpes. I was wondering what are the chances of me catching this since we use the same shower (soap, sometimes towel, etc.)? Should I worry about contracting this STD?

I have a pimple like bump on my vaginal area like the pubic area and I just noticed it today and I haven't had sexual contact with someone for at least a month, what could this be, could it just be like pimple there or is it something to be more concerned with?

My partner has for the past 2 times we had sex has said to feel a burning sensation on the side of his penis during sex. My medicals on my sexual health are totally clear from my last checkup in December. He is my only partner. What's going on? I was a little dry during sex as well - could that be it?

I have the HPV virus. It was caught early on and I had the warts frozen off. It has been 5 months now and I have had no problems. I check myself regularly and have seen no reoccurrence. Is it safe at this time to have vaginal and oral sex with my uninfected partner? Could this mean the virus is gone? How will I know if I am still contagious?

I recently performed oral sex to a guy I just began seeing. I did not use a condom and I am wondering about the risks. Can you contract STD's or AIDS through unprotected oral sex? Also, are your risks lowered if you do not swallow is ejaculate? If he does ejaculate in my mouth, are my chances of contracting anything higher.

About 3 years ago I found out that I got HPV from my boyfriend. I went for a colposcopy and had pap smears every three months. The last two-three have been clear-normal. What does that mean? Do I still have HPV? Even if I don't have the warts can I still give HPV to someone else? I am interested in starting a new relationship but I don't want to pass it on.

I think my girlfriend gave me a yeast infection, so I bought an over-the-counter vaginal cream and put it on my penis overnight. When I awoke I had some white blisters on the tip and on the foreskin around my penis and they hurt like hell.  What is it?  Is it because I'm not circumcised?  I bought miconazole cream; will that help?

I am 17 years old and have never had sex before, nor have I been near another person's naked genital. Lately I noticed I have some bumps on my penis that look like warts. Is it possible to get genital warts transmitted non-sexually? Furthermore, they also look a little like pimples, and I have a tendency to get pimples in places other than my face, such as chest, back, and arms. Could these be pimples too?

Hi there I have a question that is really worrying me.  I have been with my boyfriend over 2 years now.  I am 18 and recently after intercourse I have noticed I bleed and have dark blood like discharge for a few days after.  When I urinate the day after only I get a burning sensation.  I am too embarrassed to visit the doctor.

Since the beginning of school, I noticed that my vaginal secretions have been giving off a very strong, foul fishy odor. I have been sexually active with two partners recently, and I plan on having a GYN exam. What could this foul odor possibly be? Is it possible that it could be an STD? Can this also relate to a possible ear infection?

I recently had unprotected sex with my girlfriend and I am scared that I might have an STD now. It has been about three weeks and now I am unable to get an erection, I have a small rash where my scrotum meets my leg, and I have been very tired lately. She says she was tested recently and everything was negative. I am really scared. What should I do?

I've had unprotected sex and I'm scared that I may have contracted a sexually transmitted disease. I was previously diagnosed with a yeast infection and cervical infections, but I'm scared to go to a doctor because I'm scared of being diagnosed with a more serious disease. Can you tell me some of the common symptoms associated with most STD's both curable and non-curable diseases? I would really appreciate it.

My question is that I have a friend who is HIV and her friend also they are having sex unprotected. can her friend change her status from HIV to aids she infected him but I told her that doing this he could change her chemical make-up to which her condition could change and his not could you explain so i can give her a medical opinion.

Once during a party, one woman took my penis in her mouth and started sucking it. I was very scared and so within a minute, I pushed her back and went away. I got myself tested for HIV immediately the day after, and I tested negative. Since someone told me that its safer to test after 6 months, I had another test approximately 7 months after that incident. This time too, I tested negative. Can u tell me whether I should feel safe now, without worrying what happened at that party.

I am 22 and just had my first pap smear. During the pap I was diagnosed with a yeast infection and given a prescription for a cream. The yeast infection has cleared up, but my pap came back abnormal, mild dysplasia. I have been with the same person for 5 years, and we have used condoms 95% of the time. He has never had any symptoms, but I have heard mild dysplasia is linked to HPV. I am now on the pill, I just finshed the first pack, is it safe to have unprotected sex with my partner, do I have HPV?

I was recently diagnosed with HPV. I know I got it from my partner that I currently with, because he is the only person I have had sexual contact with. He never showed any symptoms before. I was wondering, since we both have the same virus, do we have to worry about re-infecting and developing a different strand of HPV? Do we need to always wear a condom and refrain from oral sex? Can it spread even more? I plan on getting examined every six or eight months.

I have a lot of really small bumps on my penis head they are some what hard to see, unless I am erect. It never itches or burns, even when I pee. If I look close and move the skin around I see little cracks almost like its dry. I had them for about three years and I only had sex once about three months ago. I had a doctor look at them but it was hard to see then, and he was just doing a normal physical. Do you know if this is a normal condition or should I get tested for something?

I've been seeing a girl for 7 months now. Before her, the last person I was with was 3 1/2 years ago. Last month, I noticed a bump on my vagina. I now have about 5. They look like warts. What I'm wondering if she gave me the warts. She has no visible symptoms...I was the one who got the bumps after being with her for 6 months. Is it possible that the bumps only appeared now from a previous partner I had over 3 years ago?

I have some questions about HPV. If there are many strains of the virus that cause warts, are the resulting warts different in appearance from one another and where they are located? Are genital warts a different strain from those found elsewhere on the body or are they genital warts only because of there location? Can they be contracted through oral sex. Does having warts outside the vagina indicate warts inside, and are they the same strain? Thank you

I have been married for 17 years have had three children within those years and yearly pap exams. I was diagnosed with Condyloma HPV last year, because I was having problems of burning and irritation after sex. I am concerned this is something my husband could have transmitted to me within the last two years, as I have never had any abnormalities on my paps. What is the probability of this staying dormant for 17 years?

I have what you could call "plucked chicken" skin around the shaft of my penis, starting about midway down. These bumps continue to the base. I was told (non-professionally) that they were hair follicles and nothing to be worried about. However, as of late a few of these are becoming irritated and inflamed (normal masturbation, sex, etc). Are there any creams or treatments that can decrease or completely get rid of these bumps, assuming they are in fact follicles ? Or, is there any other conditions I should be aware of that cause this ? I do not believe them to be warts, as the surface is not consistent as such. Thanks for your help.

I'm 18 yrs of age and for the past two years I've been experiencing burning as well as cutting pains while urinating. Sometimes these pains are present when I'm not urinating but they last for a short while{1 1/2secs}. I've been to the doctor a number of times, my urine was checked and results were fine. I was told to drink a lot of water and to eat certain foods, no medication was given. Within the last nine months my sperm has become very watery. Are these problems a result of masturbating too often. I've never had sex, so I doubt this is an std. Please give me answer or some advice I'm becoming more and more worried every day.

I believe I might have a yeast infection, which is sort of strange in a male . My former girlfriend once had a severe yeast infection and the symptoms developed were penile burning, redness and a slight stinging pain during intercourse. A dryness and flaking of the penile skin was also evident. Now, about a year later, the same symptoms are developing, yet my partner does not have a yeast infection. Can a male get a recurring yeast infection ? Does redness, a slight burning sensation and afterwards a dryness to the skin represent symptoms? Do the same creams that offer relief for vaginal infections work on males? What do you think?

I am currently taking injections for contraception (something that starts with a p...), as well as using a diaphragm. My boyfriend currently wears a condom when we have sex, but we have a monogamous relationship, and I would like to have sex without the condom. I want him to get tested for STDs, but he has this thing where he freaks out if you touch that inside part of the elbow, so getting blood drawn from that area would be out. Would getting blood from another area be as efficient, or would the clinic not be able to get enough blood? I've heard there's a saliva test for HIV. Is this as effective as a blood test? I've also heard HIV can incubate for up to ten years. If it is incubating, would it show up in a blood test? Thanks in advance.

I have a problem that occurred once before for about a week, then went away last year. it is now back - I feel like I have to urinate frequently but when I try - I really don't have to go, or only a little. this is accompanied by some general discomfort - itching. could this be a yeast infection? or a urinary tract infection? or is it possible that it is an std? how do I take care of it? and how do I prevent it from happening again if it's some kind of infection? I'm not sure if this is relevant, but the last time it happened was during a time when I was sleeping with my boyfriend. Now I am with someone else, and after a bit of a break between last years "episode" and now, I am sleeping with him. I don't think it's that I'm allergic to lubricant on condoms - we were not using lubricated condoms.....please help!

About five months ago I was diagnosed with "venereal warts" aka "condyloma." This was a total shock to me. I had two very small bumps on the underside of my shaft. Like I said its been five months, and I've been treated, and have had no sex since. I got acid treatment of some kind very early after catching the virus. It actually showed up on me within about a week and a half to two weeks after exposure. Anyway, I have yet to find any more warts anywhere on my penis, or pelvic region. I'm worried if this could have somehow spread to my anus and also since my last girlfriend had it orally (I think I contracted it from her mouth) I'm wondering about my throat, tongue, and lips etc. How can I be sure I'm all okay now? Are there even exams for the anus, throat, and penis just to be sure I don't have any symptoms (this I understand is what spreads it around)? Am I still capable of spreading the disease to any women I might have sex with (even with no symptoms)? What's my probability of penile cancer now, I mean has it increased and what is the treatment for that? Will I ever be able to have sex again without transmitting it to the partner?? Finally, how can I be sure at all that I did not catch herpes from her since she was positive for that too? Thanks so much for your time.
ps- what types of exams should I get the next time I see my doctor??

Hey there. Neither my boyfriend or I have engaged in sexual activity before each other, and i was just wondering if it is still possible to contract an STD through oral or vaginal sex?

I have just been diagnosed with Chlamydia. Looking back, time between tests and whatnot there are only two people in which I could have contracted this disease from. I want to tell them, and I am going to, but I don't know how to and I am scared. I know that in the long run it will be better, but I do
not want to be judged by anyone, including them, becasue one of them DID give it to ME. HELP!!
