Rutgers University Health Services use hard copy medical records for all students (paper as opposed to electronic filing) and updates physical hard copy (paper) records.

Our computer records are Y2K compliant and backed up according to acceptable standards, however, main student records are still held in hard copy form and therefore suffer no risk due to the Y2K bug.

The RUHS Web site and the server that it runs on are also Y2K compliant.  All material in the website is non date sensitive except for dynamic include content, and the ASP interpreter that handles our server side scripting is Y2K compliant.

The server is running on Windows NT 4.0 and has been upgraded to Service Pack 5, which includes all Windows NT SP4 Y2K updates.

The BIOS for the server motherboard is Y2K rollover compatible, and will not require a manual Year 2000 rollover.

If you have any questions about our Y2K compliancy in regards to the web site, the server it runs on, or other Health Services computer records, please feel free to email our webmaster.
