The Quality Department functions to ensure that Rutgers Health Services (RHS) is doing the right things for our patients and doing them well. The program has several components reflecting our commitment to quality.

The Director of Quality and Compliance is available for appointments in the evening and on weekends to accommodate student scheduling.

Assessing Student Patient Satisfaction - Surveys determine patient satisfaction with our Clinicians (Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Health Technicians) and Reception staff, access and timeliness of service, and outcomes of care. Surveys are distributed on a monthly basis.
Email Follow-Up - Periodically, you may receive an email from the Director of Quality and Compliance for the Health Services following a visit to one of our Health Centers. She sends these to see how you felt about your visit with us and if there was anything we could have done to make your visit better. Take this opportunity to share your thoughts. All comments are kept confidential and will be answered directly to you.
We Study Too! - RHS staff are experts in College Health. The Quality Department studies and monitors the care our Clinicians provide for conditions and diagnoses seen most frequently in our student population.
Committees - We have committees that continuously assess the quality of care, service and competence of our staff, which include: Patient Care Review, Quality, Safety, Infection Control, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Credentials, Continuing Education and Emergency Management.
