Clinicians treating patients at Rutgers University Health Services undergo a formal process of appointment to the staff as well as a thorough credentialing procedure.  Credentialing helps to establish a Clinicians background and competence including:

-         Current licensure

-         Relevant education, training, and experience

-         Clinical and ethical performance

-         Attestation of good health

RUHS Clinicians consist of Physicians who are Board Certified and specialize in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, and Sports Medicine.  In addition, you have the option of being treated by Nurse Practitioners, who are Registered Nurses with graduate training/education and are certified in Family Medicine or Womens Health.

The Mental Health Department is staffed by Psychiatrists with expertise in Adolescent Medicine and the Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program for Students (ADAPS) Department staff have specialized training as Alcohol and Drug Counselors.
