Bio: Dr. Tam is a published practitioner-scholar, most recently on Cultural Humility, the Cultural Formulation Interview, and First-generation College Students. She presented locally and nationally on cultural humility, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and working with first-generation college students. She is a two-time Rutgers grad, a trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NJ and NY with over 15 years of professional experience.

Dr. Tam’s special interests include working with individuals from minoritized communities, first-generation college students, mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, stress management, outreach, rapid assessment, immigration and refugee adjustment issues. She coordinates and manages CAPS’ group therapy program and provides supervision of groups to staff and trainees. Dr. Tam is involved at the national level in Social Work training programs in Counseling Centers.
