Jamila Douglas is a Doctoral Intern with CAPS for the 2026-2027 academic year. She completed her Honors BA in Psychological Sciences at the University of Connecticut (UConn) and received her MS in Clinical Psychology from the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium; she is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium. Jamila practices with authenticity, compassion, and curiosity, with the goal of guiding her clients towards greater emotional awareness, self-understanding, and more adaptive coping strategies.
Jamila’s clinical interests include working with young adults, marginalized identities (e.g., BIPOC, women, LGBTQ+), neurodiversity (ADHD, ASD), therapeutic assessment, and those experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, relationship challenges, substance misuse, and/or eating disorders. Jamila is primarily trained in a cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT) and integrates dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and relational techniques into her work. She values a collaborative therapeutic relationship and believes that positive change happens when clients feel safe, supported, heard, and capable of being open and honest.
