We ask participants to commit to all sessions (life happens - occasional absences are okay, but consistent attendance helps you get the most out of the group). Please note that group times and start date may be subject to change.
ACCESS for ADHD
Academic Building

Empirically-supported psychoeducational program for college students with ADHD. Program components include: time management, organization, other behavioral strategies, skills in shifting unhelpful negative thoughts, learning about campus resources and support services @ Rutgers Eight (8) weekly 90-minute. group meetings. Feeling stressed but not really into talking about it? This creative workshop offers a healthy outlet no words (or art skills) required. Through simple, guided activities, you’ll: Express and explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences, Tap into mindfulness, insight, and self-compassion, find relief during stressful or uncertain times-without needing to talk it all out. Social anxiety is more common than most people realize-but it can get better. In this 6-session group, you’ll learn what causes social anxiety and build real skills to manage it. Feeling overwhelmed or anxious? You’re not alone and there are ways to take back control. Cultivating Calm is a 4-session workshop designed to help you better understand anxiety and learn practical, evidence-based tools to manage it. You’ll explore a variety of proven strategies from relaxation techniques and mindfulness to cognitive and behavioral skills. Each session is about 60-75 minutes and the workshop runs continuously throughout the semester. It’s best to start with Session 1 and move through all four, but jumping in at Session 2 can still be helpful! Join when you’re ready and start building your toolkit for calm. Looking for practical skills to handle life’s challenges a little better? This 6-week, skills-based group is designed to give you tools you can use every day, whether you're managing intense emotions, navigating relationships, or just trying to stay grounded. You'll learn from four key areas: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. While it’s not a full DBT program, you’ll still walk away with powerful, research-backed strategies to help you stay balanced, communicate more effectively, and cope with tough moments. This is a 3-session supportive group designed to help you better understand depression and build practical tools to cope with it. Over the course of the sessions, you’ll explore: What depression is and how it shows up in your life, the ways your thoughts and behaviors can impact how you feel, and how to start making small, meaningful changes to manage symptoms and feel more in control. HEALTH ANXIETY WORKSHOP

Worried about your health-even when doctors say you're okay? If you find yourself constantly checking symptoms, Googling health concerns, or struggling to shake the fear that something might be seriously wrong, you’re not alone. While it’s important to care about your health, too much worry can take a toll on your mental well-being. This 3-session workshop offers a supportive space to: Learn why health-related anxiety happens, understand the difference between helpful and unhelpful worry, practice research-backed tools to manage anxiety and feel more in control, and know when to reach out for additional help. Feeling overwhelmed or stuck in unhelpful patterns? Come take a breather and learn practical tools to help you get through tough moments. We’ll start with a quick mindfulness exercise to help you ground and reset. Then, you’ll learn a skill focused on distress tolerance adapted from DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). You’ll also get hands-on experience with a DBT worksheet you can take with you. This isn’t group therapy just a chill, supportive space to pick up a few coping tools that can actually make a difference. No commitment needed - just drop in and give it a try.
