Ann Fink, PhD, MSW, LSW
Title: Behavioral Health Consultant / Post Masters Clinician
Ann Fink, PhD, MSW, LSW (she/they) is a therapist and behavioral health consultant within the Integrated Care team at CAPS. Ann earned a PhD in Neuroscience from UCLA and worked as a researcher and educator, before returning to Rutgers School of Social Work for a Clinical MSW. Ann’s publications on the neurobiology of memory, emotion, and mental health have appeared in the Journal of Neuroscience, Journal of Neurophysiology, PNAS, AJOB Neuroscience, and other journals. Ann’s interdisciplinary work addresses the ethics of neuroscience in relation to identity, mental health, and social justice. Ann uses comics in writing and teaching and enjoys working within the Graphic Medicine community. They were previously a research scientist at NYU, a Wittig Fellow in Feminist Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, faculty in Biological Sciences at Lehigh University, and they remain adjunct faculty in the Lehigh University College of Education. With over 20 years of experience within research and higher education institutions, Ann is also a consultant and workshop facilitator. As a mental health practitioner, Ann’s key interests include LGBTQ+-affirming care, stress and trauma, grief and loss, interpersonal relationships, and experiences of chronic illness.
