You may come to the Hurtado Health Center Laboratory area Monday–Friday from 8:30am to 3:00pm to have your blood drawn. No appointment is needed.
To get lab tests, you need an order – like a prescription – from a Rutgers Student Health (RSH) healthcare provider (non-RSH health care provider lab orders will not be accepted). The Hurtado Lab can only service lab orders from RSH healthcare providers.
Your RSH healthcare provider should explain how to prepare, if necessary. For example, some tests require you to fast by refraining from eating or drinking for 8 hours prior to the test. If you are unsure or if you have any questions, please call Rutgers Student Health at 848-932-7402.
