Dr. Maresca joined Rutgers University in 2001 and currently leads Health Services, CAPS, and Recreation at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She is dedicated to fostering a culture of well-being through assessment, strategic planning, innovative interventions, and outcome evaluation, with a core focus on student success. Dr. Maresca is also an adjunct instructor at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and the Graduate School of Education, specializing in college health, wellness, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, suicide prevention, and LGBTQIA+ health.
In addition to her roles at Rutgers, Dr. Maresca co-chairs the University’s Health & Wellness Committee and co-leads the Rutgers University JED Campus initiative. Before Rutgers, she worked at the Fashion Institute of Technology and New York University. She is a proud alumna of Rutgers University–Newark College of Arts & Science and New York University’s Graduate School of Arts & Science and the Steinhardt School. Dr. Maresca is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and a Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
