Prior to joining Rutgers Student Health in May 2015 as its first physician assistant, Leo worked as a PA in emergency medicine, hospital-based internal medicine, and family medicine. He earned his MS degree from UMDNJ’s physician assistant program (now part of Rutgers University) in 2008. Leo studied journalism as an undergraduate at Rutgers, and worked as a general news and higher-education reporter for many years until a four-year stint as a volunteer EMT prompted him to pursue a career in medicine.
