Marilyn Shaughnessy (she/her) is a MSW Intern at Rutgers University. She is currently in her second and last year of the program. Before starting graduate school, Marilyn received a bachelor’s in psychology from Saint Joseph's University and worked as a Mental Health Assistant at RWJHealth Behavioral Health Center in Toms River, New Jersey. Her first-year internship was at the YMCA of Greater Monmouth County, where she did individual 45-minute sessions with elementary and middle school students using play therapy. At Rutgers, Marilyn is also involved in the certificate program of Child and Adolescent Child Well-Being (ChAP). She is passionate about anxiety disorders, eating disorders and transition phases within the adolescent community.
