Sarika Agarwal is a doctoral intern coming from Long Island University Post in New York. She has had experience working in a variety of clinical settings, including college counseling centers and a number of outpatient hospitals. Sarika possesses an interest in treating a myriad of diagnoses, with a special interest in trauma and health psychology. Sarika’s therapeutic style is warm and inviting, and she hopes to create a space for every student in which they can grow, explore, and most of all, feel safe to be themselves. One of Sarika’s greatest strengths is her ability to reflect on her own experience with mental illness and recovery in a way that makes her very relatable, as well as extremely motivated and passionate about this line of work. Aside from her doctoral studies, Sarika is also a mental health public speaker and has shared her story with over 35,000 people nationwide. In her free time, Sarika enjoys dancing, reading, yoga, meditation, and spending time with her cat Toasty.
