Dr. Winifred Leung

Dr. Leung is an emergency medicine trained physician who has more than 20 years experience in clinical practice. Prior to joining Rutgers Student Health, she practiced at an urgent care facility in central New Jersey. In addition, Dr. Leung previously worked as an attending physician in the emergency department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and held the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Rutgers– Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She was also previously on staff at a community hospital in northern Virginia. Dr. Leung is board certified in emergency medicine. She is a graduate of Rutgers University–New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Leung completed her internship training in general surgery at the University of Maryland, followed by a residency in emergency medicine at the University of Connecticut.
