LaShauna Dean received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey. She has over 10 years of experience as a faculty member and DEI consultant. Her prior experience includes teaching graduate courses in mental health counseling and addictions, providing diversity and inclusion workshops and curriculum for a variety of organizations, and engaging in research/publication in the field of counseling. Dr. Dean’s research agenda and passions center on the areas of diversity/multiculturalism specifically assessment of outcomes, social justice, and implicit bias. She regularly presents on a variety of topics for K-12 teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators including implicit bias, microaggressions, privilege, identity development, stress management, addressing mental health problems in schools, communicating across multigenerational workforces, cross-cultural communication tools, and many more.
