Manda Gatto received her MSW from New York University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey who has been providing services to individuals, families, groups, and communities since 2002. She has experience working in various levels of care in private and public mental health settings, including psychiatric inpatient, outpatient, partial hospital, residential and case management programs.
Previously, Ms. Gatto was Chief Social Worker and Director at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. Ms. Gatto has also been an adjunct instructor at the Rutgers School of Social Work, a social work field instructor, a clinical supervisor and has provided training to professionals statewide in the mental health system and community on various topics, particularly providing culturally competent and affirmative care to LGBTQ populations.
Ms. Gatto’s specialties include mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, trauma, suicidality, adolescents and young adults, care for LGBTQ individuals and their loved ones, motivational interviewing and integrated behavioral health and primary care. She is passionate about advocating for, providing and promoting care that is social justice-oriented, person-centered, responsive and compassionate.
