Zan (they/them) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and doctoral student in the DSW program. They began their clinical work at Princeton House’s Adolescent DBT program where they did intensive group and individual treatment for chronically suicidal, high-risk patients, and predominately queer and trans youth. At CAPS, Zan leads the DBT Consultation team and the Gender and Sexual Diversity team. Their areas of research and practice include: working with trans and queer communities, clinically high-risk populations, program development, and diversity and inclusion. Zan is also a part-time lecturer at Rutgers SSW teaching clinical practice and provides guest lectures and CEU training on DBT and working with the trans community. Zan serves on the SSW IIDEA committee and endeavors to create spaces of belongingness and inclusion wherever they go.
